Provided cinematography, drone aerial coverage, and full equipment support for this National Geographic production profiling the ocean's most formidable shark species.
What Malaʻe Productions contributed
Malaʻe Productions provided cinematography, drone aerial coverage and full equipment support for World's Most Dangerous Sharks, a National Geographic production profiling the ocean's most formidable shark species.
Aerial work is the heart of this credit. The cinema drone fleet pairs two DJI Inspire 2 aircraft (Zenmuse X7, 6K CinemaDNG) with the DJI Inspire 3 (Zenmuse X9-8K full-frame), backed by Mavic 3 Cine and Mavic 4 for agile coverage in confined and coastal environments. Every flight is under FAA Part 107; we handle airspace authorizations, LAANC approvals and restricted-zone waivers, including coastal airspace, so the production is compliant from day one.
Shark sequences are a staple of our underwater and aerial reels, and the cinematography side draws on RED Digital Cinema cameras, Nauticam housings and our own boats for approaches on the water. Equipment support came from the full inventory: RED bodies, Shotover F1 gimbals, housings, lighting and lens packages.
Part 107 drone cinematography and rental packages are available on the Big Island, Oahu, Maui and Kauai, with logistics for multi-island productions arranged by us.
