Role: Equipment Rentals & Stock Video Sourcing
Provided specialized equipment — water housings, RED cameras, gimbals, macro equipment, and camera jibs — along with stock video sourcing for this sweeping national parks series.
What Malaʻe Productions contributed
For America's National Parks, Malaʻe Productions provided specialized equipment — water housings, RED cameras, gimbals, macro equipment and camera jibs — along with stock video sourcing for this sweeping PBS / IMAX series.
This is the rental side of what we do. The RED fleet covers the V-RAPTOR 8K VV, DSMC3 S35, MONSTRO 8K VV, HELIUM 8K S35 and GEMINI 5K S35, each with PL and EF mounts, ND filters, on-board monitors, follow focus and V-lock power. Water housings are Nauticam housings for RED DSMC2 and DSMC3 with ports, monitors and lighting, plus Salty surf housings for in-water work. Gimbals range from two Shotover F1 systems to Ronin 2 and DJI RS3 handheld kits, and jibs, rails and dollies sit alongside macro lenses for insects and marine life.
Stock video sourcing draws on one of the largest private 4K and 8K Hawaii footage libraries in existence — scenic, landscape, flora, fauna, surf, volcanic and marine subjects — so a series can license existing material where a shot already exists.
Every piece rents with or without an operator, with pickup at Keauhou, Hilo or Waimea on the Big Island and delivery statewide, backed by our price match guarantee.
