With backgrounds in Art, Environmental Science, Forestry Management, Philosophy, Photography, Film and Video, the crew of Mala’e Productions bring a wide array of assets to video production. With a passion for the outdoors and rugged expeditions our crews have backgrounds that have enabled them to capture some of the most amazing video ever captured in Hawaii, and spectacular footage from around the world. Seldom-seen open ocean animals to elusive birds, cliff edges to lava flows, our crews have traveled the world over and have the know how to see the toughest of projects to completion. With a born appreciation for the raw nature the world has to offer, Mala’e Productions videographers have a passion for capturing the moments that display the true beauty of the world.

Alex Werjefelt
– Graduated with a degree in Philosophy from the University of Hawaii. He has been a producer and editor for 7 years and videographer for over 10, specializing in Timelapse, Underwater, Scenic and Nature videography.

Christian Werjefelt
– Graduated with a degree in Environmental Science, he has traveled throughout the world working for research vessels, aviation corporations, and on world class documentaries. He has captured underwater video from the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands, to Palmyra Atoll, Johnston, to the Tuamotus, revealing some of the most amazing natural phenomena to take place beneath the ocean surface.

Josh Rust
– Has been a producer, videographer, and editor for over 15 years. An expert at commercial video production he is the winner of numerous Telly Awards and nominations. With a background in multi-million dollar video productions Josh has worked side by side with some of the best Directors and camera men in Hollywood.

Anela Limpahan
– Serving as senior administrator, and casting director Anela has been with Mala’e Productions since 2006. Not only is Anela a talented photographer, she has played a key role in orchestrating many of the expeditions that have taken place over the past few years for the “Life in the Hawaiian Islands” series.

Tom Ciletti
– Is a naturalist specializing in animal behaviors. Having spent his childhood in both Hawaii and Alaska, Tom has become an outdoorsman with an uncanny ability to read animals as well as topography.
Joey Camacho
– Graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography with a bachelors degree in film and videography, he has worked on many major Hollywood video productions you can visit his website at camachofilms.com. With a creative outlook, Joey has an inherent ability to take a mundane idea and make it stand out in a unique way.

Brady Yee
– Graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in art. A talented artist, businessman and avid traveler, Brady has been to some of the most remote locations in the world, while capturing the beauty of those locations in High Definition.

Kenrick Karas
– Spent 4 years in the Hawaii Coast Guard, and has since been a crew member of numerous research expeditions and feature film and documentary projects. Kenrick is a seasoned diver and fisherman, with broad knowledge of marine ecosystems.

Ben Collins
– Graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Forest Management. His strong work ethic, in addition to his comedic humor and great interpersonal skills make his presence a great asset to any production. Currently residing in Florida, Ben travels the states often, representing Mala’e Productions on out-of-state projects.
